Cookie policy
Last updated: 28 October 2026
Knowledge Noodles (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the websites knowledge-noodles.com and knowledgenoodles.co.uk (the “site”). This policy explains what cookies and similar technologies are, which ones we use or may use, and how you can control them. It should be read with our Privacy policy.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website saves on your device. Similar technologies include local storage, pixels and tags. They help websites work, remember your choices, measure use and show adverts. “First-party” cookies are set by us. “Third-party” cookies are set by other companies, such as analytics and advertising providers.
2. Types of cookies we use
- Strictly necessary. These make the site work, for example by remembering your cookie choices or keeping the site secure. They do not need your consent.
- Preferences. These remember choices such as your selected subject or display settings, if we offer them. We ask for consent unless they are strictly necessary for something you have asked for.
- Analytics (performance). These tell us which pages are visited, how long people stay, and how visitors move around, so we can improve the site. They are used only with your consent. Information is combined and does not identify you personally.
- Advertising. These are set by our advertising partners to show adverts, limit how often you see an advert, measure how well adverts perform, and, if you agree, personalise adverts based on your browsing across different sites. They are used only with your consent. Advertising helps us keep revision resources free.
3. Cookie details
At the time of writing, the only item the site stores on your device is a record of your cookie choices. We do not currently run any analytics or advertising cookies. Before we switch either on, we will list it here, including who sets it, what it does and how long it lasts.
- kn-consent. First-party, local storage. Strictly necessary. Remembers whether you accepted or rejected analytics and advertising, and when you chose. Kept for up to 12 months, after which we ask you again.
- Analytics. None in use at the moment.
- Advertising. None in use at the moment. Cookies from advertising and analytics providers typically last from the end of your visit (session cookies) up to 13 months.
4. Your choices
- Consent. When you first visit, you will be asked to accept or reject non-essential cookies. You can reject them as easily as you accept them, and you can change your choice at any time using the “Cookie settings” link in the footer of every page, or the button at the end of this policy.
- Browser settings. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies. See your browser’s help pages for how. Blocking all cookies may stop parts of the site working.
- Advert choices. You can learn about and manage personalised advertising at youronlinechoices.com and in your device or account settings.
- Do Not Track. Browsers may send a ‘Do Not Track’ signal. There is no common standard for responding to it, so we rely on the choices above.
5. Local storage
Your quiz answers and scores are handled in your browser while you use the page. We do not use them to track you. We also use your browser’s local storage to remember your cookie choices, as described above.
6. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when we add or change cookies or services. The date at the top shows when it was last changed. Where the law requires, we will ask for your consent again.
